An aerial photo of Charlestown Beach, flooded from Sandy. Ninigret Pond, which borders the Charlestown Beach parking lot, is spilling into the Shelter Cove Marina.
The Rhode Island DOT tweeted photos taken today of the damage of Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath of blowing winds, rain and coastal erosion. The damage is extensive and in some cases, has altered the shoreline permanently
