PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A NASA night rocket launch will be visible from Rhode Island Tuesday evening, weather permitting.
The Minotaur I is set to take off between 7:30 and 9:15 p.m. from Wallops Island, Va., according to universetoday.com.
The launch will be visible to tens of millions of East Coast residents.
Rhode Islanders should look low in the southern sky. The rocket will get no higher than about 15 degrees above the horizon.
The Minotaur I carries no fewer than 29 satellites, a record number.
