Rhode Island unemployment rate at 9.2 percent

PROVIDENCE, R.I.-- Rhode Island's unemployment rate rose to 9.2 percent, up one-tenth of a percentage point from August, in September and then remained at 9.2 percent for October, in the first data release since the federal shutdown delayed last month's jobs report.

The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training released state jobs information Thursday afternoon.
