SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. -- Terri Serra, a former Chariho school committeewoman on trial charged with violating the social-host law, pulled up to a car crash where four young people were injured in October, went directly to a young man involved, screamed at him and said, "I told you this would happen," a resident close to the crash scene testified Monday.
Serra is accused of being aware of underage drinking on her Richmond property the night of Oct. 22, 2011. Young people in the crash had spent the evening at a gathering there, according to testimony.
Paul Gunning, of Charlestown, said at the scene he asked a young man involved if he was all right. Gunning also gave an account of Serra's arrival and actions.
