PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have dropped another five cents, according to AAA Southern New England.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.659 per gallon, according to AAA's weekly survey. The price has dropped 23 cents in the last month.
Rhode Island drivers are still paying 24 cents more than the national average of $3.419 and 19 cents more than they were paying at this time last year.
AAA's survey found a 19-cent range in prices, from a low of $3.569 to a high of $3.759.
