PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Glocester man told police that he was carjacked by someone who pretended to be injured in the Charles neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Thomas Pike, 30, told police that he stopped when he saw a tall, thin man stumble into the road on Touro Street by Silver Spring Street at around 2:30 a.m.

Pike said he rolled down his window to talk to the man -- who walked up with a knife and held it at his neck, according to a police report. Pike said the man dragged him out of his Honda Fit, took his cell phone and wallet, and drove off, the report said.

The stolen Honda was later found in flames at Eddy and Byfield streets.
