EAST PROVIDENCE -- The nine ladies represented 739 years of Thanksgiving experiences.
Some of the memory keepers had wheeled themselves into the visiting room at the Winslow Gardens senior home to share what they remembered; those fragments of moments of holidays past that over time, spiced with warm reflection, had become their own precious preserves.
And imagine this: not one mentioned ever running to Walmart at midnight with a drumstick in one hand and a fistful of crumpled store circulars in the other. Not one.
