EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Police are investigating an assault on two brothers who were walking along Crescent View Avenue shortly before 1 a.m.
Detective Lt. Michael David said that the two young men were assaulted by an unknown party, and each suffered multiple stab wounds. He declined to name the victims at this time, but said they were in their late teens or early 20's.
They were transported by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital, and David said that police are pursuing all leads.
