PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Mayor Angel Taveras and Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin on Friday issued a joint news release commending the Providence police for their investigation that resulted in two arrests in a triple homicide in the Wanskuck area.
"This is not a day to celebrate," Taveras said, "but it is a reminder that good police work and a firm commitment to public safety goes a long way to stand up for our communities."
Two juveniles are charged with three counts of murder each, three counts of using a gun while committing a crime of violence and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, the release says. Both were taken to the Rhode Island Training School to be held for Family Court appearances.
