PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A former Social Security manager in Warwick was arrested at his West Warwick home Friday on charges that in 2010 he stole the identity of a Coventry man, fraudulently sold more than $160,000 of the victim's stock certificates and used the money for own expenses, the federal prosecutor's office said in a news release Friday.

Randolph Hurst, 49, of West Warwick, was charged in federal court Friday and released on his own recognizance. The trial date has not been set.

A relative, Justin Silviera, 28, of Coventry, is also charged with two counts of perjury.

The indictment was announced by U.S. Attorney Peter F. Neronha and the FBI, U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Inspector General, IRS and Social Security Administration.
