Cranston police seek answers in cold-case murder

By Amanda Milkovits CRANSTON, R.I. -- The Cranston police are turning to Facebook to help solve a 26-year-old murder mystery. Donna Anthony Fisher was strangled inside her Edgewood home on Dec. 5, 1986 . She died at the hospital three days later, the day she turned 39.

Detective Jaime Cahill is re-investigating the case and has set up a Facebook page in Fisher's name, in hopes that it will persuade people to come forward, said detective Capt. Sean Carmody.

Fisher's loved ones are hoping it's not too late for justice. "The only thing we're looking for is closure," said her son, Robert. "I want to know who did it. I'm never going to get any answers as to why."
