PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Gas prices in Rhode Island have dropped six cents in the past week, according to AAA Southern New England.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.589 at self-service pumps in the Ocean State, according to AAA's weekly survey.
The price here has dropped 12 cents in the last month but is still 24 cents above the national price of $3.349.
Rhode Island drivers were paying $3.38 at this time last year.
AAA's survey found a 57-cent range in price, from a low of $3.319 to a high of $3.889.
