PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A Central Falls man has been charged in the carjacking case outside the downtown Pawtucket post office on Monday.

A woman told Pawtucket police that she was getting into her car when a long-haired man dragged her out of the driver's seat and drove away.

The Providence police found the stolen Saturn in the West End on Tuesday, and then Pawtucket police arrested Roy Bardsley, 36, on Lonsdale Avenue on Wednesday, Pawtucket Sgt. Mark Boisclair said.

Bardsley, who also had an address in Attleboro, Mass., was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to appear for sentencing on a suspended license charge.

He was arraigned Thursday on a second-degree carjacking charge and ordered held on $50,000 surety bail, Boisclair said.
