PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- D'Artagnan salami, which was mentioned in a blog post Friday about Farmstead Inc. voluntarily recalling some of its products, was not recalled because it was improperly processed but because the retail store in Wayland Square sold it at room temperature, a spokesman for D'Artagnan said.
"D'Artagnan takes great pride in its high quality of food, processing and delivery, and does not want consumers to think that there was any lack of responsibility on D'Artagnan's part," spokeswoman Candice Bruder said in an e-mail Monday.
