EAST GREENWICH, R.I. -- A trooper posted on a construction detail early Thursday saw a vehicle turn from Division Road onto a Route 4 exit ramp and go north onto Route 95 south, where it was safely pulled over, a state police news release said Thursday.
Maryanne L. Speicher, 22, of 130 MaryAnn Way, North Attleboro, Mass., was arrested at about 2:20 a.m. and taken to the Wickford Barracks, where she became "extremely incoherent and finally lost consciousness," the release said.
She was taken to Kent Hospital, which released her early Thursday afternoon, Capt. Frank B. Castellone said.
On Jan. 7, Speicher will face drunk driving charges in District Court, Warwick.
The news release said loss of consciousness usually begins at around .30 blood-alcohol content.
