Expected snow accumulation.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- It looks like the region will see a little more snow than expected Saturday, according to our weather partners at WPRI.

Rhode Island should see 3 to 6 inches, according to an updated forecast by meteorologist Michelle Muscatello. She had earlier forecast 2 to 5.

The snow should start by late morning or early afternoon and continue into the night, WPRI says. The snow will be heavy at times and driving could be difficult.

The Cape and islands could get a mix of rain at times and accumulation there of 1 to 3 inches is likely.

WPRI says the storm's track still could change, affecting the snowfall total.

The sky will clear Sunday, a blustery day with highs in the mid 30s
