PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A masked man brandishing a handgun held up the Gulf Express convenience store at 711 East Ave. at around 9 p.m. Monday.
Police Detective Donti Rosciti said the man, who was wearing a black ski mask, displayed the weapon and told the clerk, "Give me the money, give me the money."
The clerk said the man fled on foot, traveling west on Pidge Avenue, in the city's Oak Hill neighborhood, with an undetermined amount of cash.
