NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A 22-year-old man who crashed into a snow bank in front of Nona's Smoke Shop at 1362 Mineral Spring Ave. after traveling at what police estimate were speeds of 90 mph was captured by police early Saturday after he attempted to flee.
William J. Pizzo, of 12 Palm St., was charged with reckless driving, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and driving while under the influence among other things, the police say.
Police say that snow from the embankment was hurled into the window of the smoke shop, causing it to break.
