PROVIDENCE -- Two men affiliated with the Hanover Boyz street gang were arrested on drug charges during raids on two houses in the West End.
The houses at 114 Ford St. and 222-224 Hanover St., separated by just a block, were raided at the same time Tuesday afternoon by Providence narcotics officers and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
Detectives Patrick Potter and Kristopher Poplaski had been investigating two gang members for dealing marijuana from those houses.
The officers arrested Kosal Ek, 27, of 114 Ford St., and Kamme Sao, 19, of 224 Hanover St., and seized bags of marijuana, cash, and packaging material, said Capt. Anthony Sauro.
Both were arraigned on drug charges Wednesday. Sao was issued surety bail, but Ek was sentenced as a probation violator.
