CRANSTON, R.I. -- Richard Lonardo teaches a three-year architectural design program at the Cranston Area Career & Technical Center in which students begin with technical drawing and progress into computer-aided design and architectural rendering.
"We don't just do drafting," Lonardo says.
Seniors are now creating models for a house renovation and will present their ideas to a client as if they were architects. The students have also been invited to participate in a collaboration with Roger Williams University architectural school, associating with college students.
