Three deer in a 12-hour period are killed by cars in Seekonk. Police think the deer believed it was mating season because of the oddness of this winter's weather - spring temperatures one day and freezing cold the next.
25 years ago today:
Damage to a submerged power cable, possibly caused by an anchor, may have caused a power failure that leaves 6,900 Newport Electric customers without electricity for up to an hour and a half. The failure affected houses and businesses in parts of Newport and all of Jamestown.
