PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of Rhode Island and most of Eastern Massachusetts as a storm starting Monday night and continuing into Tuesday morning could dump up to six inches of snow on parts of Southern New England.
"Snow will arrive by early evening and turn steadier and heavier overnight, leading to reduced visibility and slippery travel conditions," according to our weather partners at WPRI.
The storm is likely to dump 2 to 4 inches on Rhode Island but could drop 4 to 8 inches on Eastern Massachusetts, including Cape Cod and the islands before winding down Tuesday morning, WPRI says.
It's just 18 degrees early on this Monday morning. The high should reach 29 degrees.
