WARWICK, R.I. (AP) -- A bookkeeper accused of stealing from deceased former Rhode Island Gov. Bruce Sundlun and his wife has been arraigned in Kent County Superior Court in Warwick.
Teresa Roby was arraigned Friday on three counts larceny over $1,500, two counts of forgery and other charges.
Roby is accused of taking $21,000 from Sundlun, his wife, Soozie, and her East Greenwich photography business.
Roby has denied the charges. She told WJAR-TV in July after she was arrested that she was authorized to use the money.
Sundlun died in 2011. He served two terms as governor from 1991 to 1995.
