CRANSTON, R.I. -- Police arrested five men on drug charges Friday after a weeks-long investigation.
According to police, the department's Special Investigations Unit was investigating drug trafficking at an apartment on Chestnut Hill Avenue and at the Game Face Tattoo Shop on Elmwood Avenue.
Police, with assistance from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the West Warwick Police Narcotics Unit, executed search warrants at the two locations.
William Fernando, of Cranston, was charged with manufacturing, possession, and delivery of heroin, as well as possession of marijuana.
Four others were arrested and charged with marijuana possession: Darrall Wilson of Providence; Jordan Johnson of Providence; Andrew Owen of North Kingstown and Raymond Marquez of Pawtucket.
