Pawtucket man gets 10 years on crack cocaine, gun charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Pawtucket man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison and three years of supervised release on drug and gun charges.

James P. Perry, 35, was arrested on March 15, 2012, in an undercover investigation into crack cocaine trafficking. He pleaded guilty in August to charges of possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to information presented to the court, Pawtucket Police seized from Perry's house about 4.5 grams of crack cocaine, a .357 revolver, a speed loader and 50 rounds of ammunition, and various items used in the preparation, packaging and sale of crack cocaine.
