PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A Providence man is accused of sexually assaulting a young Pawtucket girl over several years.
Antonio Acosta, 67, of 251 Montgomery Ave., turned himself in Wednesday on a warrant charging him with first- and second-degree sexual assault, said Maj. Arthur Martins.
The girl told police that Acosta began assaulting her in 2009, when she was 11, Martins said. The girl told her mother, who brought her to the police two weeks ago.
Detective Ray Doran investigated and drew a warrant for Acosta's arrest. He was expected to be arraigned Thursday at District Court, Providence.
