PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The number of customers without power after last week's storm is down to about 766 as of 12 p.m. Tuesday, but utility officials have pushed back the estimated time for all customers to be back on the grid to 11 p.m.
Originally, utility workers had hoped to restore all customers by noon.
The largest number of affected customers remains in the southern end of the state, with South Kingstown reporting 368 customers without power and Charlestown 206.
Most customers should have their power back this afternoon, according to the utility company, but the estimated time for those in Providence County has been pushed back to 11 p.m.
