PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The number of homes and businesses without power has dwindled to about 151 as of 4:45 p.m., according to National Grid.
The remaining scattered outages included an estimated 138 households in Charlestown, and handfuls in Westerly, Bristol, Providence, East Providence and Cumberland. The company expects to have power restored in most places between 7:30 and 11 p.m. Tuesday, though the status of some of the Charlestown customers is still being assessed.
At the height of the winter storm that struck over the weekend, more than 187,000 homes and businesses were without power, or more than 40 percent of the state's population.
