G. Wayne Miller, a Providence Journal staff writer, will be on the WPRO-am radio airwaves at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the 10th anniversary of the Station nightclub fire with host Dan Yorke.
Wednesday marks the 10th anniversary of the fire, which killed 100 and injured more than 200. The fire began at 11:07 p.m., when pyrotechnics were ignited as the band Great White took the stage. Within minutes, the club was consumed by flames.
In addition to being part of the 17-person newsroom team responsible for the 12-part series "Forged by Fire: 10 years After," addressing the tragedy's legacy, Miller is also a filmmaker and author.
