WARWICK, R.I. -- A 27-year-old man told jurors Friday about a conversation he had with murder suspect Tony Gonzalez as the two were headed to court from prison in late January.
Gonzalez and Jimmie Hutchins knew each other through Patricia Delomba, their mutual ex-girlfriend, Hutchins said.
Hutchins told Gonzalez he had some questions for him. "The main one was why did you shoot Carl?" Hutchins testified, referring to Carl Cunningham Jr.
Gonzalez, he said, laughed and said, "You know what that bitch did to us."
Gonzalez then asked how Cunningham's parents were doing, Hutchins said. "How the [expletive] do you think they're feeling? You killed their kid," Hutchins recalled saying.
Gonzalez is accused of murdering Cunningham on Jan. 22, 2012, in a jealous rage because Delomba was dating Cunningham's friend.
