Highs in the low 70s on the last full day of summer

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Once again the morning gets off to a chilly start but the temperature should warm to a pleasant 70 to 73 degrees on the last full day of summer, according to our weather partners at WPRI.

Expect a mixture of clouds and sun, more clouds in Eastern Massachusetts. Cape Cod could see a shower tonight.

Saturday looks warmer with mostly sunny skies and a high around 77 inland, 73 by the water. Autumn arrives at 10:49 a.m.

Sunday brings a chance of a passing light shower early in the morning. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly sunny skies, strong breezes and a high of 74.
