Pawtucket St. Patrick's Day Parade
Pawtucket celebrates the luck of the Irish early with a parade featuring marching bands, dancers, clowns and civic organizations. A 5K race will precede the event and a party with Irish music, food and drinks is to immediately follow. Saturday. Parade begins at noon from McCoy Stadium, Division Street, and ends at Pawtucket City Hall, Roosevelt Avenue. Party at Pawtucket Armory Arts Center, 172 Exchange St.

Rhode Island Loves the Rockaways
A family program with an interactive jazz concert and other music, puppets, Big Nazo characters and raffles to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief in New York's Rockaways. Saturday at 1:30. $10 adults; $5 kids. Fete, 103 Dike St., Providence. (401) 383-1112.

Blue Man Group
Blue-skinned performers combine comedy, music and technology to create an out-of-the-ordinary theatrical experience. Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m. $38 to $65. Providence Performing Arts Center, 220 Weybosset St., Providence. (401) 421-2787.

Seussational!
The Providence Children's Museum celebrates Dr. Seuss' birthday with a weekend full of wacky activities, costumed characters and a themed hunt. Rhode Island College Ballroom Dance Competition
Watch members of RIC's ballroom dance team compete at this all-day event. Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. $5 (proceeds benefit the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation). Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston.
