Four 'Inspiring Leaders' recognized for contributions to RI life

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Four "Inspiring Leaders" are being recognized by a local leadership group for their contributions to Rhode Island life and the local economy.

Neil Steinberg, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Foundation, will receive the David E. Sweet Award; Kobi Dennis, founder of Project Night Vision, will receive the Rhode Island Community Service Award; Carol Young, retired deputy executive editor at The Providence Journal, will receive the Leadership Rhode Island Volunteer Award; and Ysanet Batista, a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, will receive the Emerging Leader Award.

The awards will be presented during award lunchon Friday at the Marriott Downtown in Providence. WJAR-Channel 10's Frank Coletta will emcee the event.
