FOSTER, R.I. -- A Brooklyn, Conn., man, 42, was arrested at the Stone House Motel, 162 Danielson Pike, (Route 6), after Connecticut State Police reported they were looking for a man suspected of an assault with a knife, of trying to set his parents' house on fire and threatening to kill himself and "take any officer with me."
Foster officers found him at 9 a.m. at the motel. The suspect, Roland Daigneault Jr., was taken to Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Conn., for ingesting an unknown substance. He was turned over to Connecticut State Police, who had a warrant charging him with inciting injury, first-degree reckless endangerment and threatening in the second degree.
Arson charges are also being investigated, a news release from Foster Police Chief Robert E. Coyne Jr. said.
