PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Two Providence teenagers are accused of robbing a man and threatening to shoot him outside Providence Place mall Thursday afternoon.

Matthew Pacific, 25, told police that he encountered the pair as he walked down the stairs near Joe's American Bar and Grill around 1:30 p.m., according to a police report.

One teen lifted his shirt and showed off a BB gun in his waistband, said Cmdr. Thomas F. Oates III.

Pacific said the gunman threatened to shoot him, and then grabbed his iPhone.

Daniel Olivo, 19, of 216 Orms St., and a 17-year-old boy were arrested minutes later by Lt. Oscar Perez and Sgt. Stephen Gencarella, who saw them walking on Smith Street.

The teenagers were charged with first-degree robbery.
