PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Providence Mayor Angel Taveras will join hundreds of city school children and state police to march against bullying.
Wednesday's event is part of national Unity Day, when people around the country will show support for victims of bullies by wearing orange. October is Bullying Prevention Month.
The march is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. It's sponsored by Harry Kizierian Elementary School, the social services agency Children's Friend and Project Night Vision, a city program that provides activities for at-risk teenagers.
