PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Providence woman is wanted in connection with a domestic violence assault against her girlfriend.
Tenishe Ortiz, 20, told the police she and her live-in girlfriend, 31-year-old Aidza Echevarria, had argued around 3 Saturday morning. Ortiz told officers, Echevarria scratched her face, pulled her hair and dragged her to the ground. Ortiz said she broke free and went to a friend's house.
Just before 9 a.m., Echevarria returned to the third-floor apartment at 35 Redwing St. with her two brothers and two sisters.
According to Coraletas Torres, 19, a third woman who lives in the apartment, Echevarria said she returned to pick up her things.
But Torres told police Echevarria and her siblings went into Ortiz's bedroom and damaged a bureau and a 40" plasma TV. She said they also took 10 pairs of women's Nike Jordans, a black Mongoose bicycle and a red Metro PCS cell phone.
As Echevarria left, Torres told officers, she told her: "Make sure you tell Tenishe that the war is starting today ... "
Ortiz showed investigators a Facebook message from Echevarria in which Echevarria said she saw Ortiz involved with a man.
The message said: "That's why u got what u deserve and more to come (; ."
Ortiz said she and Echevarria had been dating for four years.
