PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- It's dry out there now, but heavy rain is expected later Friday along with colder temperatures and gusty winds, according to our weather partners at WPRI.
Temperatures will hover in the low 40s and winds will blow from the northeast at 15 to 25 mph.
The heaviest rain is predicted in the afternoon/early evening, but skies will clear after 9 p.m.
Saturday will start with clouds early in the morning, clearing to partly sunny skies for most of the day and a high of about 60 degrees.
Sunday might be a bit cooler, but the sun will shine, making it a great weekend for getting the garden ready.
