WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- State Rep. Lisa Baldelli Hunt on Tuesday launched her campaign for mayor, saying she will invite "people of good faith to come together and help set a solid course" by "improving the quality of our schools and creating an environment where businesses feel they can succeed and grow," she said in a news release.
Saying people are "unsettled by the city's financial struggles and what those problems mean for their household," she said the next mayor will have to bring people together "to make the changes needed to put Woonsocket back on a strong economic footing."
She cited her experience as a state representative, small business owner, homemaker and parent as equipping her for the job.
