Missing Newport man found

By Maria Armental NEWPORT, R.I. -- A 64-year-old Newport man who had been reported missing has been found, the authorities said.

William Bierce of 14 Brooks Ave. was found in a home near his in Newport, the authorities said. No additional information was released.

Bierce had been last seen around 8 Monday night.

The authorities said Bierce, who suffers from episodes of confusion, is recovering from a serious head injury.
