NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) -- You can learn a lot in college -- including that the fork goes on the left.
Salve Regina University is putting on its annual Senior Etiquette Dinner, a crash course designed to help students navigate through the business dinner or working lunch. Topics will include how to handle finger food, what to do with the napkin, which fork to use when and how to properly pass a plate.
The university says coaches will be available at each table to help guide the dinner conversation and critique students. Students will also model appropriate attire in a "Dress to Impress" fashion show.
The event is being put on by the office of alumni/parent programs on Tuesday evening.
