ATTLEBORO -- A man arrested in Florida in connection with the murder case against former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will be arraigned Monday on a charge of being an accessory after the fact to Odin L. Lloyd's murder, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office announced Saturday morning.
Ernest Wallace, 41, of Miramar, Fla., is scheduled for arraignment Monday at 2 p.m. in Attleboro District Court.
Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player for the Boston Bandits, was found dead June 17 near Hernandez's home in North Attleboro. Prosecutors say that Hernandez orchestrated his friend's execution-style shooting because he was upset that Lloyd spoke to certain people at a nightclub.
Prosecutors say that Wallace was with Hernandez and another man, Carlos Ortiz, when they drove with Lloyd to an industrial park, where Lloyd was shot to death. Police have not said who pulled the trigger. Hernandez has been charged with murder. Ortiz has been charged with illegally carrying a gun.
Wallace surrendered to the police in Miramar and has waived extradition to face the charge here.
