PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A suspected drug transaction gone bad led to the arrest Saturday afternoon of two men charged with kidnapping and felony assault of another man, the Providence Police Department reported.
Around 3 p.m., a man entered the police station reporting he had just fled from two men who kidnapped him in Lawrence, Mass.
"He said he was driven through the city and the men threatened to kill him regarding a narcotics transaction," said Lt. Dean Isabella. "He jumped out of their vehicle near Eagle Square."
Police officers spotted the vehicle of the suspects near Eagle Square and apprehended them; they were positively identified by the victim.
The police arrested Alberto Serrano, 34, and Manuel Sanquintin, 30; no addresses were available for either.
