PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Cranston man was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with first-degree robbery and simple domestic assault of a Providence woman in her home in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood.
At 9:41 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of an assault at 3 Convent St., apartment 7. Tatiana Pizarro, 25, told police that the father of her child punched her, choked her and threatened to kill her. She also reported that he demanded money and she gave him $1,500.
At 1:15 a.m., police arrested Curtis Jones, 37, of 27 Cherry Road, Cranston.
