Sunny start, but clouds will move in

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The morning's bright sunshine will give way to increasing clouds that could bring light rain showers tonight, according to our weather partners at WPRI.

The high today should hit the mid 60s.

Wednesday looks mostly cloudy with light showers and fog in the morning. The sun could break out late in the day. The high should hit 63.

Meteorologists at WPRI are keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Sandy, which is expected to move across Cuba as a Category 1 Hurricane then weaken as it moves across the Bahamas, according to meteorologist T.J. Del Santo

Southern New England could feel the effects early next week.
