WARWICK, R.I. (AP) -- The Coast Guard has been searching for a missing teen who was apparently swept into the water off Conimicut Point in Warwick.
Authorities say the boy was one of two caught by the tide on a sandbar at about 5 p.m. Sunday. The other teen was rescued by a kayaker.
The name of the missing teen has not been released. The Coast Guard says he is 16-years old with brown hair and was wearing red swimming trunks.
A Coast Guard helicopter and a 45-foot response boat were assisting in the search.
