PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan will participate in a forum about how Rhode Island's 1663 Colonial Charter helped shape American jurisprudence, at Trinity Rep's Chace Theater on Aug. 20.
Brown University historian Ted Widmer, a former speechwriter for both Clintons, will engage the Kagan in a dialog on stage. The event is sponsored by the Roger Williams University School of Law.
Tickets for Justice Kagan's forum are free of charge. Reservations are required through Trinity Rep's box office, either in person or online, using the promotional code "JUSTICE" starting on Friday at noon. Each person can make one reservation.
Justice Kagan will also be at Touro Synagogue in Newport on Aug. 18.
