PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Police are looking for a man who held up the East Avenue branch of Citizens Bank at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Detectives said the man was wearing a scarf or bandana over his face when he walked into the branch at 409 East Ave., ordered two customers and six bank employees to sit on the floor, and demanded money.
While the man never displayed a weapon, he indicated that he had one, police say. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash he fled on foot.
Police said he appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s and about 5 foot 9 tall. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a hat, sunglasses and a scarf over his face, and dark-colored clothing.
