PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have dropped one cent in the last week, according to AAA Southern New England.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.769 at self-service pumps in the Ocean State, according to AAA's weekly survey.
A survey Friday by the state Office of Energy Resources on Friday said the average price was $3.75.
Despite the drop, the average price is 8 cents higher than it was a month ago, and 24 cents higher than the national average of $3.529, according to AAA.
Rhode Island drivers were paying about the same price, $3.759, at this time last year.
AAA's survey found a 43-cent price range, from a low of $3.519 to a high of $3.949.
