LINCOLN, R.I. -- Two patrons at the Twin River Casino have been arrested by State Police on charges of cheating at the gaming tables.

Robert Rosario, 39, of 30 Hawthorne St., 2nd floor, Providence, was arrested Thursday morning, police say, after a surveillance video showed him placing four bets at the craps table after a roll of the dice had already determined the game's outcome.

Aissa Elidrissi, 42, of 318 Charles St., Providence, was arrested on a similar charge early Friday morning after he allegedly placed two bets at the roulette table after he knew the winning number.

The winning totals from the bets netted the two less than $100 and $50 respectively, according to police.

Assistant Detective Commander Capt. Benjamin Barney said police learned later that an immigration detainer had been issued for Rosario by immigration officials and that he had presented false ID's to detectives when they asked his name. In addition to cheating, he was charged with obstruction of a police officer, identity fraud and making false statements to obtain a fraudulent license.

Besides ordering him Rosario held on the immigration retainer, Judge Joseph T. Houlihan issued a no-contact order barring him from entering the casino.

Elidrissi was also issued a no-contact order and was released on $5,000 personal recognizance pending a a court hearing on October 17.
